FEAR & ICE - 2 part workshop

Service Description
A challenging deep-stretch Yoga & freedive inspired breathwork session on Sun 24th Nov, followed by an evening ice plunge party with MONK.COM on Askew road on Thurs 28th Nov. This is a 2-part workshop that will take us on a unique physiological journey with some challenging bodywork & breathwork plus an exploration of cold exposure. PART 1 - FEAR This session will be focussed on a deep stretch release Yoga flow working to open the hip flexors and diaphragm, with some strong myofascial release workr. We will dive into the depths of our stress & fear response with some freedive-inspired breathwork inluding breatholds and big diaphragm stretches. We aim to greet our discomfort, soften it, and cultivate emotional resilience with this practice. 75 mins. We will use balls & straps for fascia release, and we'll be aided by INHA1E nasal strips to improve airflow and deepen and intensify these practices. PART 2 - ICE This part is optional and for those wanting to test their endurance and resilience learned in part 1, but if you can't make it or don't feel ready, you can build up to your cold exposure practice independently (you'll receive a e-doc on how to do so). We join the lovely people from MONK at 79 Askew Rd W12 9AH for a plunge party in one of their beautiful ergonomic 'smart' ice baths. Everybody will spend a determined period of time in the ice bath, you'll be guided on the benefits and techniques by MONK's plunge experts and myself. NB There will be 2 x 30 min timeslots at 6:30pm on Wednesday 27th & Thursday 28th Nov, please let us know your preference when booking, but you may have to be flexible if numbers don't work out.
